This Connection Is Not Private (GoDaddy to Carrd.co)

Hello,
I am trying to setup a site on Carrd.co
I have purchased the below listed domain.
I have gone to GoDaddy and configured DNS according to Carrd.co's directions.
Everything publishes and saves correctly.
It states that it may take an hour for SSL to initialize.
I completed all work yesterday and it still says initializing.
Also when I attempt to load the site I get "This Connection Is Not Private"
Please help.

My domain is: kayleighroywrites.com

I ran this command: none

Thank you!

Hello @kayleighroythewriter, welcome to the Let's Encrypt community. :slightly_smiling_face:

First have a look at this thread Website not working - #19 by rg305

I'm not familiar with Carrd.co and their documentation says everything should go automatically without very much more details on how they'd manage that, so I'm a little bit at a loss what we as a Community could help you with.

I think you should perhaps ask Carrd.co for help?

Also I noticed you've got two certificates issued by GoDaddy: crt.sh | kayleighroywrites.com

Where do those come from? Is GoDaddy also hosting something for your domain? Because if I understand Carrd.co correctly, they'll do all the hosting for your site with them. (But I might be mistaken?)

Thank you. Reading now.

I guess I came here because Carrd.co says they use Let's Encrypt.
I was just hoping that someone may have experienced this issue.

I have reached out to Carrd with no response yet.

As for the certificates, I only bought the domain.
I am not using GoDaddy to host anything.
I am also confused why there are 2 certificates, especially a pay.kayleighroywrites.com

I think I'll wait for Carrd to get back to me or move to a different hosting service.

Thank you!

That would be my choice.

Good ideas, in that order. From what the site tells me, it looks like Carrd is a nice thing but if it doesn't work properly in the end and their support isn't helpful, well, what can you do :man_shrugging:

I'm afraid this isn't something we can help you with, as nothing really is under your control (except for the IP address stuff you've done already). And we can only help you with things in your sphere of influence. Not things in the sphere of influence of Carrd.

Hi kaylei,

Hmm... I'm not familiar with carrd.co here. Have you contacted their support team regarding your issue? Do they support Let's Encrypt SSL? If you are using Plesk control panel, it is pretty easy to setup Let's Encrypt, you can just read this tutorial How to Setup Free Let’s Encrypt SSL with ASPHostPortal – Windows ASP.NET Core Hosting 2023 | Review and Comparison.
