Subscribing to newsletter not working

Since Let's Encrypt will discontinue their expiration notifications, I wanted to subscribe to the "Let's Encrypt Technical Updates" newsletter via the homepage (https://letsencrypt.org/).

Unfortunately I don't get any verification mail to complete the subscription.
I tried it with different mail addresses (GMail and self-hosted Exchange Server) and with different Browsers (Chrome v136.0.7103.93 and Firefox v138.0.1).
I also checked my spam folder.

I tried it on 3rd of April 2025 and today (14th of May 2025) but the problem persists.

Did anyone successfully subscribe to the newsletter, recently?
Can at Let's Encrypt please someone look into this?

Hmm. I just tried it with a throw-away email and after 30mins haven't seen the verification email either.

On the webform I got the above after signing up. Just never saw the email.

@mcpherrinm Would you look into this or pass this along. Thanks

We’re taking a look.

I just get a "Thank you for signing up for email(s) from ISRG." message, it doesn't say anything about checking my inbox.

I wonder if it has been fixed. I don't want to try again. I'm glad I posted a snip of the completion message I received otherwise I'd be doubting myself

Well, I don't have any way of knowing it worked or not if Let's Encrypt won't send confirmations any longer :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi @DimmelSoftware - thanks for bringing this to our attention! We turned off the verification email last month but neglected to update the submission message. We have updated the message. You should have received today's Technical Update email about Ending TLS Client Authentication Certificate Support in 2026.

While we're here, you may want to update the "Save Preferences" page visible when clicking "update subscription preferences" at the bottom of each email (shown below).

The "5 million certs" is already stale and should grow staler by the month. Maybe just say "We issue millions of ...". That should stay fresh for quite a while
