Request to unblock rate limit 🙏

My domain is:
staging.cvl.pub

I am running a kube-lego in an kubernetes environment with a GCP load balancer. I noticed that I was getting a 403 Forbidden for uh, quite some time… sorry about that. I think I got that issue sorted out, but now am receiving:

time=“2018-04-11T18:16:21Z” level=error msg="Error while processing certificate requests: 403 urn:ietf:params:acme:error:rateLimited: Your IP, 35.196.23.247, has been blocked due to ridiculously excessive traffic. Once this is corrected you may request this be reviewed on our forum https://community.letsencrypt.org " context=kubelego

Can this please be lifted? Thanks - and again sorry for the burden!

Do you know the basis of the “ridiculously excessive traffic” that was happening before?

Hi @dankins! Thanks for writing. We’ll go ahead and lift that block. In case you’re curious, it looks like a number of kube-lego users have been hitting similar cases, and we’re working with the authors to diagnose the cause and find a fix: https://github.com/jetstack/cert-manager/issues/407.
