Issue renewing Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate automatically

Hello everyone,
I’m having an issue with Let’s Encrypt SSL auto-renewal on my website. The certificate works fine initially, but renewal fails after expiry. I’ve checked cron jobs and server time, but the problem still happens.
Could anyone guide what logs or checks I should review to properly diagnose the renewal issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @oliviacrter,

Without knowing your ACME Client, Web Server, and Operating System it is difficult.

When you opened this thread in the Help section, you should have been provided with a questionnaire. Maybe you didn't get it somehow (which is weird), or you've decided to delete it. In any case, all the answers to this questionnaire are required:

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. crt.sh | example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is:

I ran this command:

It produced this output:

My web server is (include version):

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):

My hosting provider, if applicable, is:

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don't know):

I'm using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):

The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you're using Certbot):

Thank you for assisting us in helping YOU!

Just checking @oliviacrter are you an AI? No offence intended. I know that sounds absurd but you summarized one of my post so well on Possible Issues on Windows with new YE/YR hierarchy - #4 by oliviacrter that I find it hard to believe you would skip the help questionnaire, or even have trouble with your own renewals.

Thanks for the clarification and apologies for missing the questionnaire earlier. I understand now why those details are required.

I’ll gather the full information (ACME client, web server version, OS, and certbot output) and update the thread shortly with all the requested fields filled in so the issue can be properly diagnosed.

I appreciate the guidance and the reminder about Certificate Transparency logs — that makes sense. Will follow up soon with complete details.
