Awful. I have no idea what to do from the email and nothing seems to take me to a page to update. I may have achieved it by signing up to this forum, but I have no way of telling. Get a User Experience person on board. I don't even know if I need this.
Hi @Vanblerkisms, and welcome to the LE community forum
To which email are you referring?
The suggested email posted by @SarahGran in the OP? @Vanblerkisms was giving some not so subtle feedback to the suggested email.
Let's Encrypt certificate expiration notice for domain xxxxx
So to be clear, your post is not related to this thread at all?
Then why are you commenting on this topic? Nothing in this topic has anything to do with that email (which, incidentally, is pretty clear about what it's saying and what you ought to do about it).
The lack of subtlety should make my feedback more useful I'd have thought. I can't work out what to do, so I'm giving up in frustration.
(btw I am a UX consultant, so this kind of thing drives me crazy!)
Please open a new thread concerning your feedback as you're now hijacking this thread with an off-topic issue. This Community is using Discourse as forum software, so the UX should be pretty usable and I'm sure you can find out how to open a new thread
May I also suggest to word your feedback more constructively? You're more likely to catch a fly with honey than with vinegar.
When you give zero information about the email you're confused about (and reply on a topic dealing with a different proposed email, though this discussion has now been moved into its own topic), I can't imagine how you'd have thought this to be the case. But be that as it may, apparently you find the cert expiration email confusing or otherwise unhelpful. What about it do you find so?
Thank you for your feedback on the email. The email was sent to the address given when a certificate was requested. You can renew a certificate via the same mechanism you initially requested it.
This is documented at Expiration Emails - Let's Encrypt, which is linked in the email.
If you have any questions or need help, feel free to open a new thread with your question, and fill out the form that is prepopulated when asking questions in the help section. Thank you.
