Dns challenge for letsencrypt-auto

Hello everyone.

I was wondering if it is possible to use dns challenge in letsencrypt-auto. I’m looking for something similar to
.\letsencrypt-auto certonly --manual -d abc.com

I did some search but can’t find much useful information, so I guess it may not be not supported yet. If that’s the case, is there any plan on this?

It's correct, the official client doesn't support the DNS challenge yet. The progress is currently tracked in this ticket:

In case you are open to consider other alternatives, other unofficial clients already support it.
