Sharing one account across multiple machines

Hello,

we’re currently in the process of implementing Let’s Encrypt.
The guideline says to use only one account as a large hosting provider. However, for scale-ability reasons, we would prefer each server would handle ACME themselves, so we’d need to deploy the account on all servers.

Under the premise that we have absolute control over all the servers, are there any grave security issues that I’m overlooking? Or would you rather recommend to use one account per server in this case?

Greetings

Hi @Takios,

I believe this is fine under most circumstances. I assume that you’re thinking about the various rate limits and how they apply to your deployment. The account will still be subject to all of the relevant rate limits, even though it’s used on multiple physical machines.
