It looks like there isn’t a DNS made easy plugin installed as part of the official certbot ubuntu packages (for 18.04) …
There are packages for every other system, just not dnsmadeeasy.
How do I install this plugin? I see it’s in the repo and has been there for a year. I must be missing something.
That's not entirely true. On certbots GitHub repo you can see many more DNS plugins which aren't available as official Ubuntu's package (at the moment). For example, I don't see a package for cloudxns, luadns, nsone nor ovh.
Also, as far as I know, the certbot team itself isn't responsible for the packaging of Ubuntu's official packages.
