Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: usmodernist.org

I ran this command: install

It produced this output: nothing yet

My web server is (include version): 1&1

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: 1&1

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): i don’t know

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): plesk

The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot): not sure

Pressed install about five hours ago and it’s still going…is this normal? Thanks!

The generation of Let’s Encrypt certificates usually takes minutes. It’s probably a problem with 1&1. Could you share a screenshot of that install maybe?

#3

still going on!

Hi @gsmart

looks like the installation is crashed. In the background, that looks like an error message.

Minimize this window and select the extension list to check if it is installed.

I agree with the above.

The other problem is: there is nothing we can do to assist you. You should contact 1&1 support and report this issue.

#7
