I ran this command: install

It produced this output: nothing yet

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): i don’t know

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): plesk

Pressed install about five hours ago and it’s still going…is this normal? Thanks!

The generation of Let's Encrypt certificates usually takes minutes. It's probably a problem with 1&1. Could you share a screenshot of that install maybe?

looks like the installation is crashed. In the background, that looks like an error message.

Minimize this window and select the extension list to check if it is installed.

The other problem is: there is nothing we can do to assist you. You should contact 1&1 support and report this issue.
