Is there any way to use this with Open NIC TLDs?

They have their own TLDs that people can register for free and with greater privacy then standard domain name registration.

Is it possible to get a certificate for one of those domains?

It’s a really cool service I’d like to see grow. Is it possible to get just the cert or get one through the client by setting the DNS on the server?

No. Certificates in the web PKI cannot be issued using alternate roots. :slightly_frowning_face:
