Install https on a OS CloudLinux

Hello.
My domain is: http://registral.by
My hosting provider, if applicable, is: Unix.
The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): OS CloudLinux

I tried install Certbot. I have to install snapd, but https://snapcraft.io/docs/installing-snapd
was not OS CloudLinux.
What should be done?

CloudLinux OS seems to be based on CentOS, according to Wikipedia. Perhaps use the CentOS instructions for snapd?

Is that a real hosting provider?

Do you use any type of like cPanel?

Yes, you are both right. CloudLinux is basically CentOS + kernel patches + some userland utilities and patches. It is usually fully compatible with any software that runs on CentOS.

rg305 raises a good point in that CloudLinux is very commonly paired with cPanel (and other hosting panels). If you are using a hosting panel, then you should look to use the native Let's Encrypt integration of the panel, rather than installing Certbot. Certbot doesn't understand how to configure hosting panels.

For the record: The user is indeed using cPanel, his hosting provider is hoster.by (IP RR).

Бесплатный SSL-сертификат Let’s Encrypt на тарифах «Оптима» и «Профи»
Виртуальный хостинг сайтов | Хостинг unix

According to their features' list, you will have free Let's Encrypt certificate when you are on "Optima and Profi" plans.
If you are on those plans and are trying to renew your certificate, please contact your host and they should do it for you (automatically, by AutoSSL or something else).

If you are not on those plans, how did you get the certificate in first place?

I paid for the certificate for one year. Now I am trying to get a certificate for free.

Maybe? :slightly_smiling_face:

I would not recommend going outside of any capable panel to get a cert.
Stick to what can be done within the panel first.

Thanks everyone for the help. I decided to change hosting, where I don't have to pay for a certificate.
