Hello,
I have generated and downloaded my first digital certificate with letsencrypt, and now what I need is to upload said certificate to my website www.gmventuravida.es, but I do NOT use any control panel to manage my website, but I do everything directly via ftp and admin panel of the wordpress.
Could you please tell me how I can install letsencrypt digital certificate without having access to the domain control panel? Is that possible?
If you select the category Help before you begin to write your post, you should see these questions incorporated automatically. (But maybe that doesn’t happen if you start to write the post before selecting the category.)
Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.
My domain is:
I ran this command:
It produced this output:
My web server is (include version):
The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):
My hosting provider, if applicable, is:
I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know):
I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):
The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot):
I would add: installing a certificate is an administrative operation. If you’re not the system administrator of the server, and the administrator hasn’t given you a control panel or interface to install certificates, you won’t be able to do that on this server without the system administrator’s help.
