Someone may have made a typo when registering their e-mail address for their own certificate.

Also, I’ve heard about a Plex (I think?) bug in their plugin, which causes this behaviour…

I think @pfg knows more about that if my memory isn’t mistaken… (And it regularly is… )

Plesk’s Let’s Encrypt plugin has an issue where the expiration mails are sent to all users sharing the same machine. Supposedly it’s been fixed in the latest version (>= 2.0).
