Creating Auth-Hook - how to test?

Hello community,

I would like to create my own script to update the dns records of my domain. I just wonder how to call certbot so that it calls the manual auth hook but doesn’t create a certificate. I didn’t take care last time and got blocked for 1 week because I created to many certificates. Is there a save way to try if everything would be working as suggested?
