Charging for renewal?

My web provider is charging me for an SSL renewal, but I understand this is free with LetsEncrypt? Are there levels of SSL with LetsEncrypt that require a fee?

Let’s Encrypt is always free.

You’d have to ask your provider why they’re charging money to do this.

Thanks mnordhoff, I thought that was the case. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything before I challenge the charge.
