Acquiring a Domain Certification

My current domain is: https://pensionerslink.powerappsportals.com/

I require an SSL Domain Certificate for my organisations website. It has been set up as a power apps portal with the above default domain name.

I now need to add a custom domain name for: https://pensionerslink.org.uk

Our hosting provider does not supply SSL certificates.

Could you please explain the steps I need to take to acquire this certficate?

many thanks

Chris

Hi @Chris2 welcome to the LE community forum

Wix doesn't provide SSL certs?

Hello Rudy

I checked with Wix previously and got the message below:

I don't see anything...

Good morning Rudy

Something is removing my reply from the email. Is there another way of sending you my reply? I have resent my last email below:

I checked with Wix previously and got the message below:

“Currently, Wix does not support third-party SSL certificates. All Wix sites are enabled with HTTPS, so are created with inbuilt SSL certification. We do not authenticate sites built elsewhere. Therefore, we are unable to generate CSR files (SSL authentification) for domains and subdomains connected to external sites.

We are always working to update and improve our products, and your feedback is hugely appreciated.

If this is a feature you would like to see in the future, please click Vote for this feature and we'll make sure to keep you updated.”

HI @Chris2 (iot's almost bedtime for me - LOL)

I don't work for "discourse.com", so I don't know why an email reply to these topics would be handled any differently than a web client post.

With this:

Isn't that enough?

I think the problem with Wix will be that, the reason we need the SSL certificate, is to add a custom name to a new Microsoft PowerApps portal. That means that Wix will cease to host our website, so there is no incentive to help us do that.
