Your certificate (or certificates) for the names listed below will expire in 6 days

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. crt.sh | example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: https://www.habariportal.com/
My hosting provider, if applicable, is: Webhost Germany

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don't know):

I'm using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): Plesk

I have no information to the above required information. I am on shared hosting and started using Let's Encrypt a couple of months back. I have just received an email warning:

Your certificate (or certificates) for the names listed below will expire in 6 days (on 2024-09-23). Please make sure to renew your certificate before then, or visitors to your web site will encounter errors.

We recommend renewing certificates automatically when they have a third of their total lifetime left. For Let's Encrypt's current 90-day certificates, that means renewing 30 days before expiration.

In my shared hosting admin panel under " SSL/TLS-Zertifikat" settings, I do not see where I can do an immediate renewal BUT there is this information in German

"Gültig bis 22. November 2024, Wird automatisch verlängert"
meaning

Valid up to 22nd November. Will be AUTOMATICALLY RENEWED or extended

What is it talking about? What is expiring in 6 days, then and what will happen on 22 November?
What exactly can I do so the errors being warned about do not come up?
That domain has an attached subdomain, aspectusafrica.habariportal.com

I would be grateful for any guidance.
Thank you in advance

Welcome @xprt007

The email must have listed the specific name(s) in the cert that is soon to expire. In your case you have gotten several certs with different combinations of domain names. The email probably lists only the habariportal.com name. You got a cert on Ju25 with just that name.

Later, you got certs by adding the www name too and that is what your server is using. So, I think you can ignore this warning email.

Here is your cert history maybe this helps

Hi
Thank you very much for the quick response. :slightly_smiling_face:
Yes, the email refers to "habariportal.com". In the Let's Encrypt Admin, it says "habariportal.com", as well as "www.habariportal.com" & the subdomain are to directly translate "protected".
Should I ignore any further warnings in case any comes and can I assume all will be always automatically renewed, without having to do anything?

Regards

You will not get another warning email for that specific cert. See the first paragraph: Expiration Emails - Let's Encrypt

As long as your hosting service and Plesk work correctly it will be renewed.

I assume it does. Will ask for your assistance again if an issue comes up again.
Many thanks & best regards
