Wordpress Site not loading with "took too long to respond" after installing SSL

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. crt.sh | example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

Hi @ndwyer, and welcome to the LE community forum

HTTPS requires TCP port 443 access.
Please check your firewall and NAT rules.

Thank you so much @rg305. That was the issue.

For any Lightsail users out there reading this steps are:

  1. From the Lightsail console home click on the instance
  2. From the instance, click on the Networking Tab
  3. Under the IPv4 Firewall heading click on "Add Rule"
  4. From the Application dropdown choose HTTPS and it will auto-populate the remaining fields (Protocol=TCP, Port-443)
