Unable to issue an SSL

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: www.towcars.website

I ran this command: Let’s Encrypt is a certificate authority (CA) that allows you to create a free SSL/TLS certificate for your domain. added my email address / ticked Secure the wildcard domain

It produced this output: Could not issue an SSL/TLS certificate for towcars.website
Details

Could not issue a Let’s Encrypt SSL/TLS certificate for towcars.website .

The authorization token is not available at http://towcars.website/.well-known/acme-challenge/0anG8SHaLj_cbxU8gQtqjwwqM9P4nYdItDI3b_dvQTM.

To resolve the issue, make sure that the token file can be downloaded via the above URL.

My web server is (include version): My own windows server

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): latest windows server running DNN

Can anyone help please? Where is the aurhorisation token or what am I doing wrong? I am using Plesk, following the instructions to get my free SSL but it wont work

Hi @NeilSeaton

start with some basics.

Then read

You have to validate your domain name. http validation uses a file

So if that doesn't work, your Plesk is buggy -> ask your hoster.
