Synology Certifikate problems

Hi there

NAS: Synology DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 4
Domain: ds.fremosnet.ch
Client OS: Windows 10 1909

My Synology didn’t renew the certificate automatically. I do not know why. Manual renewal was not possible. Tried everything possible for 3 days. Always error messages. Deleting the old certificate entry did not help either.

Then I applied Michaelbierman’s tip.

“So I went to Control Panel> External Access> Advanced in Synology and reset” hostname or static IP “. It seems to be working now. Very strange, but I think I’m fine now.”

Certificate requested again. Error message: “… please register again at the DSM”
I registered again on DSM. Now I see 3 certificates with the expiry date 2020-04-15. :slight_smile:

Which of the displayed certificates should I use now? Can the excess certificates be deleted?

checking your domain it looks like you have already found a solution - https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=ds.fremosnet.ch#certificates

There is a new certificate:

CN=ds.fremosnet.ch
	16.01.2020
	15.04.2020
expires in 90 days	ds.fremosnet.ch - 1 entry

And you use it. Your port 443 and your port 5001.

Older checks (last is 40 minutes old) had a Grade N (certificate invalid), but now Grade I is better. One typical error of a DSM:

webman/modules/ControlPanel/modules/dsm.cgi

with a http status 403, but that's not a critical problem.
