Remove from rate limit please

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: bbi.co.bw

I ran this command: /usr/src/letsencrypt/letsencrypt/certbot-auto certonly --standalone -d bbi.co.bw

It produced this output:

An unexpected error occurred:
There were too many requests of a given type :: Error creating new order :: too many certificates already issued for exact set of domains: bbi.co.bw: see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/

My web server is (include version): Apache/2.2.15 (Unix)

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): centos 6

My hosting provider, if applicable, is:

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): yes

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): no

The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot): certbot 0.36.0

Hi, was trying to renew my domain, but kept say my domain has not expired, but when i check in the browser it has expired.

I deleted it, to recreate it, but still the same, not knowing there is a rate limit i did it 5 time testing and retrying.

Can you please remove me from the list, i just want to recreate the ssl please.

Thanks
Q

Hi @qvs5010

checking your domain there are some certificates ( https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=bbi.co.bw#ct-logs ):

Issuer not before not after Domain names LE-Duplicate next LE
Let's Encrypt Authority X3 2019-08-06 2019-11-04 ww5.bbi.co.bw
1 entries duplicate nr. 1
Let's Encrypt Authority X3 2019-08-06 2019-11-04 bbi.co.bw
1 entries duplicate nr. 2
Let's Encrypt Authority X3 2019-08-06 2019-11-04 bbi.co.bw
1 entries duplicate nr. 1
Let's Encrypt Authority X3 2019-06-27 2019-09-25 go.bbi.co.bw
1 entries

Looks like the Certspotter check doesn't find a new, crt.sh finds only these three new.

Please read

If you’ve hit a rate limit, we don’t have a way to temporarily reset it. You’ll need to wait until the rate limit expires after a week. We use a sliding window, so if you issued 25 certificates on Monday and 25 more certificates on Friday, you’ll be able to issue again starting Monday.

You can wait. Or you can add an additional subdomain, then you have a new set of domain names.

Where is the last certificate you have created? Next time: Create one certificate, make a backup.
