Greetings, and thank you for creating Let’s Encrypt. It is truly a remarkable initiative that changed internet as we know it. I would like to implement a PSD2 eIDAS service because my customers pay me via bank transfer, and I’d like to receive an API event whenever a payment is made on my account. To proceed, I need a QWAC certificate, and I thought: would a Let’s Encrypt certificate be enough?

Based on the information I could find online, it would seem that, YES, any valid globally trusted certificate would suffice.

Maybe. But I suspect you need an EV (not really, requirements are more stringent) certificate issued by a CA based in the EU.
