Problem getting cert for .email suffix

Hi everybody

I was just trying to get a certificate for my *.email domain which is going to be a mail server name but Surprisingly i get this error:

Error: urn:acme:error:malformed :: The request message was malformed :: Name does not end in a public suffix

Well according to
https://www.iana.org/domains/root/db/email.html
and
https://www.icann.org/resources/agreement/email-2013-10-31-en
there should be no problem with .email suffixes cuse it’s on the list just like any other public suffix.
Am i missing anything here ?

Can you provide the full log please ?

I suspect it’s some other issue - if I check the transparency logs then Let’s Encrypt has issued over 2500 certs for .email domains in the last 3 months (including several today), so I suspect that the error is something else
