Post notice: can these be removed per user setting?

Hi guys,

Since a few weeks, the Discourse forum software implements “post notices”:

Personally, I’m not inclined to do anything with them. Further more, I find them annoying.

However, I can’t seem to find a way to disable those notices in my preferences. Is it perhaps some kind of admin setting, which would enable me to disable them?

Agreed. I don’t really care that it’s their first post, nor that they haven’t posted in a while. I don’t see why it’s believed to be relevant at all, much less worthy of a banner on each post.

I’ve found it somewhat useful. It can highlight first-time posters who might be spamming or hijacking threads, or returning posters who might be posting their second help thread after a year.

@mnordhoff Agreed. I find its useful context at the extremely minor cost of some screen real estate.

@danb35 @Osiris I’m not aware of any admin feature that lets this be toggled per-user. Perhaps you could provide this feedback in the Discourse Meta forum.
