Your system isn't resolving DNS correctly. You'll need to fix that before you can obtain a cert (or, really, do much of anything else on the Internet).

Hi @sothearon, and welcome to the LE community forum

The primary building block of the Internet is DNS.
Without it you can't (easily) do very much.
