Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

Hi,

If you are using webmin interface, the certificate should be renewal automatically. Could you please access your webmin interface and see if your certificate is renewed?

Since you are using DigitalOcean VPS, can you try to login to your shell and run certbot renew?

Thank you

Hi Steven

Thanks for the replay and suggestions, I’m not a dev and I’m not the person who setup this SSL so I’m very limited in my knowledge of Webmin, Shell etc, I did have a look around but couldn’t find anything in Webmin that mentioned the SSL…I do know that the SSL was a wild card and also covered all the sub-domains.

TIA
Neil

Hi,

In this case, can you still find the dev that helped you install the certificates?

You’ll need the private key (or password) for your server (to login) in order to know what’s happening to your certificate. (I suspect this is happening because certbot / cloudflare API is having issue, or absent at all)

Thank you

Hi Steven

Not at the moment

I can access (login) to the server and also cloudflare I just don’t know what I’m looking for sadly.

Thanks
Neil

Hi

I just found this in the Webmin dashboard under ‘server configuration > SSL Certificate’

" SSL Certificate
In domain 000-invalid.pagefunnels.com

This virtual server shares its SSL certificate with pagefunnels.com, so it cannot be edited on this page. Use its SL Certificate page to change SSL settings.

To be able to issue a separate SSL certificate for this virtual server, click the button below."

Thanks
Neil

Since you are using webmin and it seems like there’s a web shell option.
Can you try to use that and execute a few commands (then share the output here)?

https://doxfer.webmin.com/Webmin/Command_Shell

Please run the below command seperately.(one at a time)
sudo certbot certificates
sudo certbot renew

Thank you

I did see this.

A question: does your website use subdomains? If not, i think you can just click on the Let’s Encrypt panel (in that screenshot) and request a certificate.

Thank you

Yes the site is a WordPress multi-site with all the sub-domains being covered by the wildcard SSL

In this case, please refer to #7 and execute the commands…
I believe the certificate you got if you run the Let’s Encrypt option in webmin will only get a single certificate. (covers www and root)

Thank you
