Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.
The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):
My hosting provider, if applicable, is:
I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know):
I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):
I do not know any of the answers to the above questions except for the name of the website.
I am new in this position and I have no information about our website or the certificates associated with it.
I am trying to learn, but with nothing to go on as my predecessor left no notes or info I am at a loss.
I need to renew the website SSL certs and don’t know how.
I assume they were setup for auto renew and for some reason that stopped.
You seems to be using an vps or dedicated server or hosting with panel that I don’t know…
One question…
Do you know your shell username and password? (Ssh)
If not, I highly suggest you to find someone and help you renew your certificate… (Since you might need a few hours or days to catch up and your certificate is expired)
Thank you
P.S. if you know system version… like. Centos, Fedora etc… I can help you find the right tutorial to renew the cert.
