I need to re-install the SSL certificate on the api.institutoalianca.net subdomain, but I believe we made many requests wrongly during this week, as we can fix this and get the normalized certificate back on the api.institutoalianca.net subdomain. thanks
My domain is: api.institutoalianca.net
I ran this command: Install Let´s Encrypt from my hosting hostgator
It produced this output: I don’t know
My web server is (include version): I don’t know
The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): Windows Server
My hosting provider, if applicable, is: hostgator
I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): I don’t know
I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): Yes
The version of my client is (e.g. output of
certbot --version or
certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot): I don’t know
What error message are you receiving?
Invalid response from https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/acme/new-order.
Detail: Error creating new order :: too many certificates already issued for exact set of domains: api.institutoalianca.net: see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/
Why can you not use any of the previous certificates created?
You will have to wait out the rate limits in accordance with the document here
However there is a way to bypass them. The limit of 5 certificates per week applies to exact names. If you add another subdomain to the certificate it won’t be affected by that particular limit
checking your domain you see - https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=api.institutoalianca.net#ct-logs
5 identical certificates, that hits the limit.
Where are these certificates?
You can wait - or you can create one certificate with two domain names - non-www and www.
Thanks , but I don´t know how can I do it. I need just one domain name api.institutoalianca.net. Could you please help me to solve it ?
Thanks, How long I need to wait ? How can I use one of them certificates created ? I don´t know
Please read the output:
next Letsencrypt certificate: 2019-11-12 02:04:25
You use a hoster solution.
I don't know how that solution works. So ask your hoster or check the documentation of that tool you use.
Where coul´d I see this output ? next Letsencrypt certificate: 2019-11-12 02:04:25
There is no other way to clear these requests, we did not know this limit of requests. Are you sure that if we wait until November 12th, requests with lets encryt will return to normal?
He found that from this site: https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=api.institutoalianca.net#ct-logs
After that date the rate limit will have expired and you can make another certificate. Though be careful when issuing certificates and only make one, or you may be affected by the limit again
Coul´d you please verify if I could request a new SSL yet ?
