Is it possible to install letsencrypt on Godaddy Shared Hosting?

Hi we have a website on godaddy shared hosting plan. Is it possible to install and use letsencrypt?

You should always ask your provider first, especially when it comes to shared hosting. Shared means that you don’t have administrative rights on your host in most cases. So unless there is no interface to deploy certificate and key files, chances are low.

You can use Let’s Encrypt certificates yes, however it will involve a manual process for renewal as GoDaddy does not integrate LE support into their control panel (and has announced no plans to do so.) You can use a non-root shell script like acme.sh, or a browser-based client such as https://zerossl.com, but you’ll need to manually paste the certificates into the control panel at least every three months, given the 90-day validity period of Let’s Encrypt certificates.
