Author of CertSage here.

Since CertSage (or any ACME client using an HTTP-01 challenge) cannot write/configure the challenge file(s) for in a folder ("sq") under the webroot directory of a completely different domain name (, there's no way for the Let's Encrypt validation servers to find the challenge file(s) by visiting, which will cause the validation of said file(s) to fail with a 404 (not found).
