Install l.e. on apache 2 (lamp server)

Hello,

last time I installed letsencrypt, I used certbot
(aws, bottom of the page: Tutorial: Configure SSL/TLS on Amazon Linux 2 - Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud )

Someone told me, that this is not the best (modern) way to install letsencrypt.

So, I'd like to ask, what do you think -
what is the best way to install letsencrypt on a lamp server?!
(linux, apache, mariaDB, php)

Thank you very much.

Why?
What did they say was their better way?

I looked back at history and they were told using snap install was best.

But, Amazon Linux 2 does not support that very well due to missing Selinux. There is an unofficial snap that can work but it is difficult (I did it once).

Using the Certbot in EPEL is fine. The upcoming Amazon Linux 2022 has Selinux so hopefully supports certbot snap better. I have not yet tested that as I think AL2022 is still in preview.

Will stay with certbot for now.
