How to a certificate from personal private key and self-signed csr?

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: travelingadventurers.epizy.com

I have done this: 1.) Created rsa 2048 key from openssl.
2.) Created csr key from the above made private key.
3.) Uploaded both to my TLS/SSLcertificate section in c-panel

What I need: Certificate

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: Infinityfree

I can login to webroot on my website (yes or no, or I don’t know): No. Can only access htdocs folder. Cannot upload to DocumentRoot folder as there is NO access provided.

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): c-panel(Don’t know)

So, my major problem is that infinityfree does not allow Let’s Encrypt plugin and there is no way to directly get a certificate through automation. Now, I am doing this manually by creating everything. My Question is How to proceed forward by getting the certificate manually?

Hi @Pratz993

please read

Change your hoster if you want to use a Letsencrypt certificate.

There seems to be a simple way around this…which would be to move or transfer your dns provider to something like cloudflare. You can make your own txt records if you wish. It’s possible you could also do dns validation to renew certs if you needed…I haven’t tried dns validation with your provider so ymmv.
