certbot auto keeps certbot current (YAY!). But does not automatically update the
certbot-dns-google plug-in.
It should update dependent plug ins

Thanks for the suggestion! @bmw what’s the current status of DNS plugins with certbot-auto?
We’re actively working on doing a better job distributing Certbot and its plugins outside of traditional distro packaging. This is going to take at least a few months because we’re redesigning our approach here from the ground up but we think it’ll be a lot better for everyone in the long term.
In the meantime if you want to use our DNS plugins and they’re not already packaged for your system, we recommend you use Docker.
