I have a subdomain: home.litecomet.com that points to an ip address. When trying to get an SSL certificate, I get this:
Domain: home.litecomet.com
Type: connection
Detail: Fetching

To fix these errors, please make sure that your domain name was
entered correctly and the DNS A/AAAA record(s) for that domain
contain(s) the right IP address. Additionally, please check that
your computer has a publicly routable IP address and that no
firewalls are preventing the server from communicating with the
client. If you're using the webroot plugin, you should also verify
that you are serving files from the webroot path you provided.
But litecomet.com doesn't have an IP address. Not A nor AAAA. The www subdomain does however, which resolves to 68.162.241.27.
But it resolves to 173.48.222.11? There isn't anything listening on port 80 on that IP address. Did you use an existing and running webserver? Or did you use the standalone plugin? It's unfortunate you didn't fill in the template questionnaire which should have been presented to you when you started this thread in the Help category.
Sorry, there is not a webserver on port 80. Though I have Home Assistant listening on port 8123. And litecomet.com does have a DNS A record to 68.162.241.27.
You can use the standalone plugin to spin op a temporarily webserver (some kind of Python module providing that..) to get your hostname authorised.
Well, I've tried all of the authoritive name servers for litecomet.com. (jack.ns.isodme.com., jackson.ns.isodme.com., justin.ns.isodme.com., jonathan.ns.isodme.com. and jacob.ns.isodme.com.) but none of them has an A record for litecomet.com.
