DotEasy Support lacking to use Let's Encrypt

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: arborlifestudios.com

I ran this command: trying to use lets encrypt but having problems with doteasy support.

It produced this output: n/a

My web server is (include version): don’t know

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): don’t know

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: DOT Easy

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): dont know but I think NO

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): cpanel

trying to figure out how to use lets encrypt with my doteasy host. they will not request certificates for you. they keep circling back to using their cpanel but that’s only for users who ALREADY have a certificate.

Hi,

Some hosting providers will not provide support on obtaining certificates.

However, there are plenty of tools you could use to obtain an certificate…

I personally wrote a tutorial on my blog for obtaining let’s Encrypt certificate with cPanel
https://www.stevenz.science/obtain-certificate-with-lets-encrypt/

Also, please be advised that if your hosting provider doesn’t support automatically renewal, you will need to manually renew your certificate once per 90 days (and it’s a pain in the ***)

Thank you

thank you, Steven. I’ll check it out
