Certificate issues - works in chrome but not IE

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is:sj-lilleskole.dk

I ran this command:N/A

It produced this output:

My web server is (include version): checked in ie7, ie8

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: unoeuro.com

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): No

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): Yes, have only access custom Admin Panel for Manage Hosting

The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot): yes i think using Cerbot

Hi @sasthakms

your certificate has only one domain name ( https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=sj-lilleskole.dk ):

CN=sj-lilleskole.dk
	22.07.2019
	20.10.2019
expires in 89 days	sj-lilleskole.dk - 1 entry

So your non-www version is correct, but your www version is wrong.

Domainname Http-Status redirect Sec. G
http://sj-lilleskole.dk/
93.191.156.188 301 https://sj-lilleskole.dk/ 0.330 A
http://www.sj-lilleskole.dk/
93.191.156.188 301 https://www.sj-lilleskole.dk/ 0.140 A
https://www.sj-lilleskole.dk/
93.191.156.188 301 https://sj-lilleskole.dk/ 1.843 N
Certificate error: RemoteCertificateNameMismatch
https://sj-lilleskole.dk/
93.191.156.188 200 1.954 B

Solution: Create one certificate with both domain names (non-www and www) and use that.

Browsers cache redirects, so you see different results with different browsers. Online tools don't cache redirects, so use online tools to check your configuration.

okay, for now installed certificate for mention domain name (with www and without www).

but i have problem for various domains, not only single. webtimiser.dk it’s digital marketing company, they have various sites, am only maintaining all. for all the sites have same IE Issue.

https://www.cbswp.com/ - http://prntscr.com/oiw60c
https://www.securicom.dk/ - http://prntscr.com/oiw6rn
https://www.multi-tech.dk/ - http://prntscr.com/oiwa3l … etc

Then check these domains via "check-your-website"? Maybe always the same problem.

yesterday itself added new certificate with www and without www.
but still have same problem Screenshot by Lightshot.

tested sj-lilleskole.dk in all other browsers, working fine, but except IE. can you please help me to fix this issue...

You can't check such redirects with browsers. Results are cached, so the wrong result exists.

So use online tools to check your domain.

Checked that domain with my browser there is a certificate with both domain names. So it's good.
