Certificate for VMWare Horizon View 8

Hello All,

Trying to find out, if anybody successfully obtained SSL cert for VMWare Horizon View 8. I have 2 connection server, 1 composer, 1 vcenter and 2 esxi host. Trying to build VMWare Horizon View 8 lab at home.

On the connection server, I have installed basic IIS and created index.html inside inetpub folder. Did not bind any certificate - just left it as http.

I tried to obtain the cert - it fails with error 404, 403. Not sure what is wrong.

I have created A record at GoDaddy, Firewall disabled on connection server.

Any chance you could try the same using https://certifytheweb.com (the app I develop) as that way I can help diagnose the problem. Basically IIS is responding to the http challenge when it shouldn’t be. If you try Certify The Web you could also use DNS validation instead of http (that way you don’t need the path through the firewall).

@webprofusion - I just download the program. Going to install. Before starting certificate request, I have few Q

  1. Do, I need to install certify program on each server?
  2. How do, I request certificate for 2 connection servers (conn1.ramlan.ca and conn2.ramlan.ca)?
  3. Can, I install certify program on domain controller or not?
  4. Where the log will be when, I request the certificate so, I can look at the log if there is any issue during the process?
