Certificate expired

My certificates expired and my IT person is on holidays with no communication.
I don’t have access to his account. How do I get the following certificates activated asap?

Thank you for your help.

My domains that are down are: fernie.com

ferniervresort.com

ragingelk.com

alpinelodgefernie.com

yama2go.com

yamagoya.ca

foothillssilva.com

thebridgebistro.com

powdercanada.com

skitheworld.com

savage-marketing.com

Hi @savage

checked your first domain that's curious

There is a one month old certificate ( https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=fernie.com#ct-logs ):

Issuer not before not after Domain names LE-Duplicate next LE
Let's Encrypt Authority X3 2019-05-31 2019-08-29 fernie.com, www.fernie.com - 2 entries

But you don't use this certificate, instead you use an expired certificate:

CN=fernie.com
	01.04.2019
	30.06.2019
0 days expired	fernie.com, www.fernie.com - 2 entries

Is it possible that only a server restart is required?

Perhaps check your other domains to see, if they have the same configuration.

PS: The domain has a lot of older Letsencrypt - certificates. First is from 2017-04-27 11:23:00.

But the expired certificate is from 2019-04-01 03:06:24. So you may have used tls-sni-01 validation, support ended ~~ 2019-03-15. But you have already switched to another validation method.

Perhaps you have used --standalone, now you use your running webserver, so the server restart is missing. Looks like the first renew after switching tls-sni-01 validation ->> http-01 validation.

So this step is missing.

Thank you for your reply Juergen.

I have rebooted my server and now the server is not connecting.

I’ll move on to Linode with a ticket on the server.

Appreciated!

Dan

Now your server is online.

And fernie.com has the new certificate.

Yep - there is it ( https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=fernie.com ):

CN=fernie.com
	31.05.2019
	29.08.2019
expires in 60 days
fernie.com, www.fernie.com - 2 entries

So the renew had worked (2019-05-31), but a reload is missing. Your IT person should add such a command.

Didn't checked your other domains. But it looks like the same problem.

Yes, there was an Apache error – rebooted several times and now is running.

I can breathe again!

Thank you for your help!

Regards,

Dan
