Certbot is not working with .rocks domain

I want to create a certificate for a .rocks domain with certbot. After running “sudo certbot --apache -d domain.rocks.conf” i got an error message.

The request message was malformed :: Error creating new authz :: Name does not end in a public suffix

Any chance to fix this?

Hi @seofem,

Did you realize that you put .conf at the end of your domain name?.

By the way, there is no problem to issue certificates for .rocks domains with Let’s Encrypt (more than 42.000 have been issued),

Cheers,
