Certbot Crashes before issuing certs

#1

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is:surroundourschools.org

I ran this command: ./certbot-auto --apache

It produced this output:File:

  • Could not be found to be deleted /etc/httpd/conf.d/le_http_01_challenge_pre.conf - Certbot probably shut down unexpectedly
    File:
  • Could not be found to be deleted /etc/httpd/conf.d/le_http_01_challenge_post.conf - Certbot probably shut down unexpectedly
    An unexpected error occurred:

My web server is (include version):Apache 2.2.23

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):Centos6.9

My hosting provider, if applicable, is:vpsdepot.com

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know):yes

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):cpanel

Setup multi domain on new apache

Hi, are you using your operating system’s apache package, or are you using a custom compiled apache or something like bitnami?

Your problem sounds similar to this, I wonder if the same solution would work for you?

Should be a pretty standard install.

Thanks! I’m at least close now. There is no conf.d in /etc/httpd. Using the path to the conf file, and a few false starts and I did get the most important certificates. It was not able to install the certificate automatically, but I’ll fool with that tomorrow.
