We are needing to renew the cert but the web developer cant be contacted and we dont have login access or details to the host provider

Hi @gjoelson, and welcome to the LE community forum :slight_smile:

If you are paying the HSP (hosting service provider), then they might be able to reset your access/account/password.
If it is a dedicated host and the HSP has no way to do that... then you are at the mercy of whomever has the login credentials.
