I’m trying to install a wordpress site with SSL-certificate from Let’s Encrypt on a VPS server using easy engine.
Command: ee site create site.com --wpfc --php7 --letsencrypt
Installation is OK and wordpress is runnig but no certificate:
Do you wish to enable SSl now for site.com?
Type "y" to continue [n]:y
Please Wait while we fetch SSL Certificate for your site.
It may take time depending upon network.
Unable to setup, Let's Encrypt
Please make sure that your site is pointed to
same server on which you are running Let's Encrypt Client
to allow it to verify the site automatically.
Site is pointed to the same server for sure.
Any solution? Thanks!
@a777aa, since EasyEngine didn’t give any explanation of what went wrong, it seems to me that you’ll need to ask them for support, or else use a different method to obtain a certificate. (There are dozens of different things that might have gone wrong but the message from EasyEngine doesn’t help distinguish them, unless you also have a log file somewhere.)
Since you did not specify the actual name for the domain, it is not possible to verify that. For example, it could be the case when
www.site.com points to the server but
site.com doesn't and you are trying to get the certificate for the latter, it can be the case of split DNS showing you different address from the one seen by LE servers and so on.
