Any workaround to install a SSL Certificate to a website just changing DNS settings?

Hi. The website builder I used to create my website doesn't offer a free SSL certificate (it costs 60 USD!), so I am trying to figure out if there is any workaround to install a free SSL certificate, in some way.

Unfortunately, this Website Builder doesn't have a Cpanel. It has just the Website Builder + a DNS Management page (please see screenshot). Is there anything I can try from this DNS Management page, to install a free SSL certificate?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide (in English or Italian)

Francesco

Hi. I would strongly suggest switching "website builders". Charging money for TLS certificates is plain ridiculous at this day and age.

You mention you have control over DNS but do you have any control over TLS settings/certificates? If you have sufficient control over DNS, you can also consider putting your website behind Cloudflare.

I agree it’s ridiculous to charge $60 for an SSL certificate. While I haven’t tried it myself, I think Cloudflare might be a good solution for you:

Strangely enough, I solved the problem by changing the configuration from "Flexible" to "Complete"......The duration of the certificate is 90 days. Will it be automatically renewed by Cloudflare or do I have to repeat all the steps after these 90 days? Thanks

Cloudflare will manage cert renewal. I'm glad it's working for you. Cheers!
