urn:acme:error:rateLimited

Hi,

Due to a DNS problem(which is solved now) we are unable te renew our Exchange/autodiscovery certificate:

+Response from server:
+ Code: 429
+ Content: {
“type”: “urn:acme:error:rateLimited”,
“detail”: “Error creating new authz :: too many failed authorizations recently
see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/”,
“status”: 429

Can you reset the rate limit please?
owa.morrssinkhofplastics.nl, autodiscover.morssinkhofplastics.nl

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
Chris.

From https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/ :

There is a Failed Validation limit of 5 failures per account, per hostname, per hour. This limit is higher on our staging environment, so you can use that environment to debug connectivity problems.

So you just need to wait one hour :slightly_smiling_face:

HI tdelmas,

Is this also the case for a renewal?

Hi @ictMHP

it's irrelevant if it is the first certificate or a renew. The limits are the same.
