Repeatedly https not working on Plesk

Hi,
is LetsEncrypt https a permanent service or do i need to lay hands on at specific returning dates ? Because it sometimes working, sometimes not with same domain.

I basycally do as good as nothing on the server than just having it running. I’m using the same emailaddress for LetsEncrypt for multiple domains, if that is the problem.

It also says that the certificate is not being used any more:

My domain is: onefh.com

I ran this command: Plesk / Domain / LetsEncrypt Install

It produced this output:

My web server is (include version): Debian 8.5

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: www.1und1.de

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know):

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):

The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot):

Hi @Frank1000

there is a certificate with uptoconcept.com - one of your other domains.

Looks like your Plesk has problems creating the correct certificate. Or you have one vHost with a lot of domain names, perhaps this may be a problem.

Is it possible that you reorganize your sites so that every domain name has it's own content / vHost?

Or if different domains have the same content: You should create one certificate with the different domain names.

It's more a Plesk-using problem, not a Letsencrypt - problem.

thanks a lot for reply Jürgen,
now that you’re saying it about the vHosts, I just had re-directed name-server-addresses for uptoconcept.com, which is at Dreamhost, to now AWS Amazon.
Before, on Dreamhost I was pointing A Record to 1und1.de server.
Maybe that caused it.

So what do i do now ?, do i enter a new email address to install a new LetsEncrypt certificate for onefh.com etc. in Plesk ?

I’m not sure if I already have separate certificates created one. Question, is there a place where i can see which certificates i already have and start using some unused ones again ?

If i need to create a new one, can i create it with the same email address ? Also, do i need to have a private key etc. ?

I'm not familiar with the Plesk interface but I'd guess you probably just need to click Install here.

That, on the other hand, looks like the form you would fill in if, instead of using Let's Encrypt, you wanted to purchase a certificate from a traditional commercial CA. If you did both, perhaps the latter might have overridden the former?

… when i hit install i rceive the “rate limit exceeded” error.
But I’m not sure how to a) create and b) emplay a new Let’s Encrypt certificate other than on that insall page

Hmm, sure enough, you’ve exceeded a rate limit (though not the one Plesk thinks you have). That shouldn’t happen but I don’t know what caused it, sorry :frowning: It sort of sounds like Plesk is successfully obtaining certificates for you, but not applying them to your site for some reason. Maybe Plesk support can help you?

thx for reply, ok will check with plesk forum
thanks
