What options are there for revoking a certificate?

You can revoke a certificate through our automated protocol using the letsencrypt client, with the letsencrypt revoke command. You can revoke a certificate if you fulfill one of these requirements:

  • You hold the account key used to issue the certificate.
  • You hold the private key for the certificate.
  • You have authorizations on your account key for all the names contained in the certificate.
