I have 1 server that is currently hosting 1 website over SSL using LetsEncrypt. It’s auto renew and all works fine. Now my question is, I would like to host a extra domain on the same server so I need a special Virtual host on 443 port. Can I just generate a new cert like I did for the first domain? Or is it not possible to have 2 certificate on 1 server, I would like 2 certs if that is possible not 1 for 2.
It depends on what ACME client and web server you’re using. Usually, it’s easy to create a second certificate, and you just run a command or press a button like you did to create the first one. But sometimes it might not be so easy.
Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.
