Install Let's Encrypt not in /etc

Hello,
I have an hosting in cloud and have no root privilegies.

I just can write in /home/siti/www/.

Can I install let’s encrypt in this directory?

Thank You,
Regards,
Gian Marco.

You can usually install/run certbot or any Let’s Encrypt client without root. What you typically can’t do without root is actually install an SSL certificate.

Did you just want to run a client to get certificates and then manually install them with your web control panel? (You will have to do this every 2-3 months…) If so, it might be easier to use a more lightweight client like lego or acme.sh.

acme.sh -> GOOD JOB MAN!!!
