I did not see GoDaddy listed on any of the pages talking about compatible or non-compatible web hosts. GoDaddy says they do have an option to add CA. Can Lets Encrypt be used with GoDaddy? I’m working on a non-profit website and trying to keep costs down.
IIRC, GoDaddy requires you to work through their support folks to change SSL certs, and they charge $10 for each instance. Better to move to a different host.
You can also calculate that, if you do choose to stay with GoDaddy, you will save money overall by buying a paid certificate with a longer expiration time from an inexpensive paid CA.
