today I got a mail which says the following:
Your certificate (or certificates) for the names listed below will expire in 10 days (on 27 Aug 18 05:20 +0000). Please make sure to renew your certificate before then, or visitors to your website will encounter errors.
Domain: mydomain.de
I was realy confused about the mail because I did the renew some days ago already. So I checked server for certificates and got this response:
The e-mail service doesn't consider future certificates. If you've issued a new certificate with another set of domain names, possibly including the one you're getting the e-mail for, the e-mail service will still remind you your old certificate with the different set of hostnames is going to expire.
If the domain name of the old certificate is included in your current, valid and up to date certificate, you can just ignore the e-mail(s).
thanks for the quick reply. That was also my thought, thats why i listed all certificates which are at the moment issued. In any way I am interested in finding this wrong/old certificate to e.g. delete it. Any ideas how I may find it?
You've probably overwritten the old certificate with the new one when you included the www. subdomain. No need to delete anything if your list of certificates with certbot certificates is complete and does not include anything you don't need/want.
